FREE community event celebrating Rx Kids. 

Dress in red for a celebration of health, hope, and opportunity on Valentine’s Day.

  • 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Free family friendly activities and resources at the Flint Children’s Museum. The love-filled Rx Kids FREE family day at the Children’s Museum will host more than a dozen community resource tables – providing a warm and safe environment for families to learn about additional community resources and enjoy the museum’s hands-on exhibits. Thanks to many community partners, there will be fun crafts, free books, child-friendly activities, and resources for families. Children will receive a free Rx Kids Teddy Bear named Rex while supplies last. The Rx Kids FREE family day at the Children’s Museum is sponsored by Genesee Health System.   • 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.: A love-filled, adults-only evening at the iconic Capitol Theatre featuring local and national talent including co-hosts ABC12 news anchor Dawn Jones and comedian Jerry Minor. Performers include Mama Sol, David Blight, Semaj Brown, Feimstro, Flint Freedom School, and more. Raheem DeVaughn, a nationally acclaimed R&B artist will headline the event with love songs to the Flint community. The Flint Institute of Music’s School of Performing Arts Voice Instructor Lateena Martin will be performing “Most, Most, Most” by Flint Carnegie Hall Lullaby Project participant Courtney Cudd and accompanied by pianist George Warren. Thanks to the MSU Dairy Store, the first 600 guests will enjoy free Rx Kids signature ice cream. Strawberry Sweetheart is a smooth ice cream made with real strawberries and love mixed in.
