Students are required to submit the application on or before the end of the first week of the semester they expect to complete their degree requirements. This will assure the listing of names in the commencement program.
If a student expects to complete their degree requirements during summer semester, submit this application on or before the end of the first week of spring semester. This will assure your name will be listed in the spring commencement program.
Students apply for graduation in the Student Information System (SIS) at student.msu.edu. After logging in, students should select the Academic Progress tile and expand the Graduation folder in the left navigation and choose “Apply for Graduation.”
