Our MPH program is rigorous with faculty that bring experience with real-world problems and solutions to promote healthy communities into the online classroom. The MSU MPH is a generalist degree allowing students to choose elective courses that fit their personal and professional goals.
Our entirely online program was specifically designed to fit busy lifestyles. Our program is perfect for professionals who want to engage in preventive health, and appropriate for new and recent undergraduates from a variety of disciplines including psychology, social work, anthropology, business, law, dietetics, nursing, and more. The MPH may be taken in conjunction with other master's and terminal degree programs at Michigan State University.
Our online course delivery and learning system, D2L, allows us to offer asynchronous courses so that students with different schedules, in a variety of time zones are able to complete the required assignments when it is most convenient for them. Although our courses are not self-paced, the online nature of the coursework allows students to access their coursework at the time of day that best suits their schedules. Student engagement with faculty and classmates increases through online discussion boards, group projects, and presentations. Advancing public health across the globe, we are pleased to maintain the intensity and rigor of an in-person graduate program in our online coursework.
