2024 Flint Spartan Master of Public Health Scholarship

Flint Spartan Master of Public Health Scholarship

The Charles Stewart Mott Department of Public Health is supporting the public health workforce in the Flint community with a third Flint Spartan Master of Public Health Scholarship. One scholarship will be awarded in fall 2024 and will cover tuition and fees for completing MSU's online Master of Public Health. Prospective students who currently live or work in the greater Flint community, including Mt. Morris and Burton are eligible.

ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR FALL 2024. APPLY NOW.

The scholarship will cover tuition and fees for completing MSU's online Master of Public Health, a 43-credit program that can be completed in 19-months.

"Over the past several years, the coronavirus showed us how a global pandemic has a local impact," shares Wayne R. McCullough, Director of the MPH program. "Our Public Health colleagues played a critical role in collaborating with the Flint community to get credible and reliable information to the public. COVID-19 demonstrated the importance of having public health experts embedded within the community, protecting people's health where they live or work. This is one of the reasons why we wanted to invest in the community at this magnitude - and prepare the next generation of local master's degree-prepared public health citizens."

The scholarship's principal aim is to offer financial support to encourage serious and deserving students from the greater Flint community to pursue a graduate-level degree in public health. The next scholarship will be awarded for the 2024-2025 program year with a fall start. Recipients can attend online on a part-time or full-time basis.

Scholarship Application Requirements
