Each affiliate and adjunct faculty member will be appointed based on the unique contributions that the person agrees to contribute to the program. Initial appointment and promotions will follow the guidelines established by the College of Human Medicine. Appointments will be reviewed and renewed on an annual basis.

  • Affiliate appointments are available for persons who have MSU faculty or staff standing (appointed through the Provost’s Office)

  • Adjunct appointments are available for individuals who are not faculty or staff at MSU, but who can contribute to the Program in Public Health

Affiliate and adjunct faculty will be expected to support the Program in Public Health’s mission and goals and will be encouraged to participate in Program activities. These activities may include: assisting in the instruction of a course, serving as a practicum supervisor for students, assisting in research with students and faculty, participating in Program events, or participating with Program working group(s) and committee(s).

Individuals may apply for affiliate or adjunct status using the College of Human Medicine’s Application for Clinical and Adjunct Faculty Appointment.  The application form along with a current CV or resume should be directed to the program’s director.
